Denise Van Outen has revealed that the injuries she received during the production of the 2021 season of Dancing on Ice are still ongoing.
The TV personality was forced to leave the show after dislocating her shoulder and suffering tendon damage while rehearsing for the show.
She was rushed to hospital following the fall and shared posts on Instagram to share photos of her recovery.
While her bones have healed, the star has revealed that her muscles are still working their way to recovery.
She told the Express: “I’m still trying to repair the muscles that are niggling me. I’ll get there.
“It’s a slow process. Unfortunately, muscles take longer to heal than bones. It’s a bit sore.
“But it’s nothing that I can’t handle. I’m absolutely fine.
“I’ve got movement in my arm but it just gets a bit sore when I move it.”
Denise is set to return to the West End this month for her Cabaret Stars performance at London’s Proud Embankment.
The star is set to host the show featuring burlesque, fire breathing, acrobatics and Denise’s very own singing talent.
She said: “I’m so excited. For one it’s a great show, it’s a fun night out.
“You’ve got everything under one roof. You get to watch this amazing show and the incredible acts.
“I can’t wait to get back on stage and sing live.”
The show was halted last year following the pandemic, shortly after Denise took to take to host the event.
Denise wasn’t one to take the halt of production lying down though, going on to host a live stream of her theatre production instead.
She said: “It was a great thing to do but you can’t beat having an audience.
“And live music. That’s what people miss. I always say for live theatre performances, it’s escapism for people.
“They can sit down and forget about all of their troubles.
“Theatres are really needed and I’m so glad it’s coming back.”
