GMB weather girl Lucy Verasamy wows with selfie after getting caught in rain

Good Morning Britain weather girl Lucy Verasamy has left fans speechless as she posted a gorgeous selfie while caught in an impromptu downpour.

It seems even the ace meteorologist can’t be correct about the weather all the time – but at least she was dressed for the occasion in a black hooded rain jacket.

Lucy paired the outfit with a blue baseball cap and what looks like a dark fleece underneath, with her hair just about protected from the torrential downpour.

“Rain roulette!” the star joked as she posted the snap to her 148,000 Instagram followers.

“It was pouring mere seconds before this was taken. This month is just sunshine in fits & starts. At least the days are long this time of year, even if the skies are grey & grumpy.

“After a remarkably dry & bright April, May is more than making up for it…” Lucy explained alongside the snap.

She included the hashtag #SpringCantBeCancelled, referencing David Hockney’s new book focusing on his travels in Normandy.

To contrast the rainy selfie, she also shared a gorgeous, sun-drenched snap showing the sun glinting through a leafy green canopy of trees.

Fans were quick to show their love for the soggy snap, and flocked to the comments section in droves.

One posted: “Looks great Lucy!”

“Stunner,” another complimented.

While a third wrote: “You look amazing!”

“Gorgeous Lucy!” someone else said.

But someone else begged Lucy for more selfies in future, commenting: “Less weather pics, more Lucy pics!”

Last week, Lucy was reminiscing on a few staycation snaps from last year in Scotland, as she posed under some ominously stormy grey clouds.

In the adorable pic, Lucy wore black wellies over her skintight leggings, pairing the look with a khaki duffel-coat and a pair of sunglasses as the wind whipped her hair around her face.

The Scottish mountains formed an incredible backdrop to the nature-filled snap, with Lucy writing alongside: “Looking at snaps of a staycation last year – nothing beats being in nature.

“Nature is the theme for #mentalhealthawareness week this year.

“The @mentalhealthfoundation say Nature is central to psychological & emotional health and is our greatest untapped resource for a mentally healthy future,” she continued.

It comes after Lucy shared some backstage magic from an upcoming advert for luxury grocer Marks & Spencer she has been shooting.

The glamorous forecaster was snapped in a green field in Jersey, alongside TV chef Chris Baber.

The marketing campaign tells the story behind the supermarket giant’s fresh produce.

Each 60-second “episode” will air after the early evening ITV national weather bulletins, according to The Grocer.
