Piers Morgan appeared on Wednesday’s edition of Good Morning Britain in a plea for votes at the upcoming National Television Awards.
Fans of the ITV breakfast show were used to vote GMB as Best Daytime Show before a clip played with a series of highlights from the programme.
A montage of clips played out featuring Piers, 56, who quit GMB in March after hosting the show for over five years.
The outspoken presenter was seen quizzing co-star Dr Hilary if he had any tattoos before clashing with Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
He then bursted into laughter as one of his favourite guests, Britain’s oldest identical twins, revealed sex is their secret to a long life.

GMB is up against fellow ITV This Morning, Loose Women and The Chase for the gong.
Piers appears on the long-list in three different categories but he’s not confident he’ll win any gongs on the night.
Taking to Twitter to share the news, he penned: “Delighted to have been long-listed in three categories at the National TV Awards (even if I’ve been deleted from the last one).
“I’ve got no chance of winning, obviously, but voting for me would really irritate the usual winners: So feel free. @OfficialNTAs.”

Fans quickly inundated Piers with messages telling him that he would be getting a vote from them.
One fan penned: “That’s me voted for ya.”
Another added: “Went and voted for you everywhere you were.”
A third person posted: “Good luck you have my vote.”
While a fourth social media user said: “You’ve got every chance, you’re still awesome.”

The glitzy awards ceremony, hosted by Joel Dommett, will be broadcast live from the O2 in London on September 9.
On his last appearance on Good Morning Britain, Piers said he “didn’t believe a word” of Meghan Markle’s claims she had been refused help with her mental health.
The TV rant became Ofcom’s most-complained about moment ever with tens of thousands of complaints filed – and the Duchess of Cambridge herself even complained to ITV.
Piers stormed off set while live on air after clashing with co-star Alex Beresford over his comments.
Looking back on the controversy, the former newspaper editor admitted he simply followed his gut instinct after being asked to apologise.
Recalling the circumstances surrounding his departure from the show, he shared: “ITV executives suggested to me that I should now issue an apology to calm things down. But I don’t believe Meghan, so why would I apologise?
