Love Island return date has been 'leaked' with just five weeks to go

After many rumours and speculation over the return of Love Island, it appears fans only have five weeks to wait.

The reveal date has reportedly been leaked online by a fansite claiming the return date will be June 28 at 9pm.

In a tweet, Love Island Reactions posted an image of The Simpsons’ Homer Simpson glued to the TV with the caption Me, at 9pm every night from the 28th of June #loveisland.”

The excitement for fans has been even more increased with a reveal date and workers being seen at the Iconic villa in Majorca, suggesting a return to the Spanish island after over a year.

The popular ITV2 show has been off our screens since the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the summer series with bosses not being able to guarantee the safety of the islanders.

Unless the ever-changing situation with pandemic causes disruption once again, the villa looks set to welcome several new faces in what producers hope will be the most inclusive in the series.

Earlier this month, it was reported makers of the show were seeking out bisexual contestants with a rumoured figure of 40% attracted to both men and women.

It is hoped that by having bisexual contestants that more unexpected romances will occur as well as having a diverse range of contestants.

The show has already had bisexual contestants in the past with Katie Salmon being the first bisexual member to be signed up to the show back in 2016.

Katie also had a brief romance with fellow Love Island star Sophie Gradon, who sadly passed away in 2018.

Laura Whitmore will also return to host the series and is rumoured to fly out with her husband voice narrator Iain Stirling and their baby

Laura Whitmore will also be returning as the host of Love Island and will be alongside her husband Iain Stirling, who narrates the series.

Fans have already had to wait for well over a year and if all continues to go well, season seven will be here very soon.
