Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) dream about their wedding day while the Archdeacon’s ex Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) gets piled into the back of a police car.

Fiz Brown’s (Jenny McAlpine) attempt to move on from Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) backfires and she ends up selling the story of their relationship to the papers.

And Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) is forced to apologise when she realises her behaviour has been out of order when it comes to the kind undertaker George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley).

Below are the juiciest Corrie spoilers of the week – don’t miss an episode.

After a night spent sinking cocktails at the pub, Ryan wakes up in Daisy’s bed with no relocation of what happened.

He begs Daisy to keep the illicit encounter secret from Alya, but as soon as she sees his girlfriend approach, the barmaid spills the beans.

Daisy tells Ryan she’s not happy with his lies, and informs Alya the wannabe DJ spent the night in her bed – leading Alya to end their relationship.

Alya kicks him out of the house, leaving Ryan homeless – only for Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) to offer him a bed at the pub.

Daisy is chuffed to learn Ryan will be living with them, but when Jenny accuses her of deliberately getting in the way of his relationship with Alya, she bursts into tears.

Ryan tries his best to win Alya back but to no avail, and she sends him packing, their relationship well and truly over.

A DJ gig comes up in a ski resort in the French Alps, and Daisy convinces Ryan to take it – hinting he’ll be leaving the cobbles for good.

Daylight robbery

Paul gets arrested after Ed realises the heat pump has been stolen by a mystery man

While working at the undertaker’s, a man named Andy calls around and says he’s raised £7,000 for the funeral of a local Big Issue seller named Matty.

Once he’s gone, Todd stuffs £5,000 into an urn for himself and tells George they have just £2,000 to spend on the funeral.

He’s horrified when Matty’s brother Mr Hendricks comes to collect the urn, and once it’s returned, he refuses to give back the £5,000 inside.

When Todd learns Billy has been given permission to spend £7,000 on a new heat pump for the halfway house, Will orders him to steal the money for himself.

Todd has another idea and instead nicks the heat pump, leaving builder Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) furious, as he wonders whether the pump was stolen by Paul – who hadn’t been paid that month.

Policeman Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) arrests an innocent Paul while Todd takes £1,000 from the sale of the heat pump for himself.

Caught up in his web of lies, he informs Billy and Summer Spellman (Mathilda Freeman) he plans to take them away on holiday with the money, claiming he has got a bonus from work.

Will Paul get put behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit?

A heartbroken Fiz realises Chris is after her story for the newspaper

Trying to get over her heartache, Fiz joins a dating app and starts chatting with a bloke named Chris who fancies meeting up with her.

However, her feelings are hurt when she goes on a date with Chris, only to learn he’s a reporter doing a story on women who have been dumped for a younger girlfriend.

Initially, Fiz refuses to tell her story, but after some encouragement from Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), she agrees to open up about what happened in her relationship with Tyrone.

When the story is printed, Tyrone is furious, and Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) tries to speak with Fiz, insisting she never intended to steal her man.

Desperate to get back at Fiz, Tyrone approaches Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and asks to tell his side of the story – airing their dirty laundry.

But Fiz mightn’t be too fussed about his childish games, as a charming newcomer named Phil invites her out for a drink after meeting her in the furniture shop.

Is this a fresh start for Fiz?

Young love

Emma and Curtis finally declare their feelings for one another, making things official

Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) tots up the earnings for Oliver’s fund and realises they’ve received a whopping £96,000 in donations.

The news gets Curtis (Sam Retford) thinking and he tells Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) they ought to arrange a naked calendar to help raise the final £4,000 to bring the total up to £100,000.

Emma loves the idea and they manage to convince the men of the street to take part, with Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) capturing the nude snapshots.

The process allows Emma and Curtis to come to terms with their feelings for one another, and they finally decide to give a relationship a go.

Looks like love is in the air!

Funeral blues

Eileen is overrun by guilt when she realises George has broken his wrist

Eileen yells at George Shuttleworth in the pub, after realising he’d conspired with Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) in convincing her to take him back as a tenant.

The forcefulness of her tone leaves George shaken, and he suddenly falls back on the ground, breaking his wrist.

Eileen feels awful about the incident and offers to help out at the undertaker’s to make up for it, but disaster strikes when their van suddenly goes missing.

Thankfully, Todd Grimshaw later returns it, claiming he wouldn’t have borrowed it if he’d known there was a body in the back.

George is furious, and scolds Eileen for her son’s behaviour, leading her to make a heartfelt apology – can their friendship ever recover?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
