Emmerdale fans convinced Lisa Riley and on-screen son are related in real life

Emmerdale fans are convinced Lisa Riley and Bradley Johnson could be real-life mother and son after Lisa revealed a sweet snap of the two together.

Lisa and Bradley play Mandy and Vinny Dingle in the famous ITV village soap – and the pair are like a mother-son duo on screen.

However, the pair get on like a house on fire in real life too and have spent lots of time together now that lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Soap fans now believe the acting duo could actually be related as they look so alike in real life – after seeing a lovely snap of the talented pair on social media.

Lisa took to Instagram to share a photo of the pair and joked they were “pistachio twins” after they opted for the same colour fleece as the temperatures took a dip.

The actors joined co-stars James Hooton, who is known for portraying Sam Dingle and his on-screen wife Karen Blick, aka Lydia Dingle earlier this week for a night out in Leeds.

But they then went on a casual little shopping trip – and ended up dressing the same.

Bradley grinned for the selfie and Lisa appeared a bit more bemused by their unintentional matching.

“OK this wasn’t planned at all “PISTACHIO TWINS” casual day out shopping and it seems we are wearing the exact same colour,” she captioned the post.

Their Emmerdale co-stars were among the first to comment on the post.

Charles actor Kevin Mathurin said: ” You both look good in that colour though. Ain’t gonna lie!”

“Good colour to be fair,” Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty in the ITV soap, echoed.

And fans were also quick to add their say, with many flocking to the comments section to compliment the stars.

“Twinning for the win!!” one said in support.

Another joked: “I knew you were real mum and son.”

“My two Favs together looking great,” a third added.

A fourth said: “I absolutely love you two.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7pm
