Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer sent social media into overdrive twice this year – the first time during the Friends Reunion where they confessed they’d had a crush on one another.
The second time, was when the rumour mill started spinning and reports came out that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer were dating.
However, these rumours were eventually put to bed as representatives for the pair denied it, and now Jennifer has slammed them once and for all.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Jennifer confirmed that she and David were not dating and even dubbed the speculation as “bizarre”.

Speaking on the speculation, Jennifer said: “That was bizarre. I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother!
“But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies for dreams to come true.”
It was just last month that the speculation began that the pair were dating and they nearly broke the internet as fans of Friends went wild over the news.

Although there is no romance brewing between Jennifer and David, it seems their historical romance rumours were certainly true.
During the Friends Reunion special, James Corden asked the cast if there were any sparks flying in real life between the characters, which saw Jen push David to answer.
He said: “At some point, we were crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”

Jennifer added: “Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss it’s going to be on national television.’ Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.”
The pair confessed that because they were always dating someone else, they never started to date – and even now after the speculation, there is still no romance going on between the pair.
It’s been 17 years since the series ended, but their characters Ross and Rachel still have fans fawning over them today, but it’s looking like it is purely their characters that TV fans will ever witness romantically.
