Lisa Armstrong’s friends have reportedly expressed concerns following her public outburst after she hit out at her ex-husband Ant McPartlin’s team on Instagram.
Ant and Dec Donnelly’s agent, Simon Jones, took to Instagram to express how proud he was after the presenting duo won their twentieth NTA for Best Presenter.
However, Lisa, 44, wrote beneath his post: “And you don’t care who you screw over in the process… well done.”
An insider told New!: “Lisa feels she has every right to stand up for herself and friends agree – but they think the public nature of it isn’t doing her any favours.
“They’ve warned her it could make her look bad and it’s better to keep a dignified silence. They don’t want her to dwell on the past.”
Lisa and Ant ended their 23-year relationship in 2018 after she stood by his side during his sobriety battle.
This included a court appearance for drink-driving as well as two rehab stints and sources reported at the time that she had put her own dreams of oh hold to become a mum on hold in order to support Ant.
Just a few months after they split up Ant’s relationship with former PA Anne-Marie Corbett, who he tied the know with in August this year, was made public.
However, at the time Lisa described their relationship as betrayal and claimed that she had a friendship with Anne-Marie.
The make up artist hinted that she lost her job from Britain’s Got Talent in 2018 because Ant was a presenter.
Lisa’s account liked a tweet that said: “For you to lose your job because of your ex is very unfair and unjust, you’re a beautiful soul. You hold your head up while others’ masks slip.”
A source told the publication!: “Lisa still feels she was betrayed by Ant and the people who worked with him. It was a really hard time for her and despite moving on, she still hasn’t forgotten.
“She felt she was a huge part of Ant’s success. They were together for so long and she was his rock through so much. She supported him and feels she helped him get to where he is now.
“When they broke up, Lisa felt she was cast aside by a lot of people – and that hurt.”
