Drag Race’s Veronica Green has plans to explore multiple mediums of art, with her focus currently on the music industry, having recently released a song with Myleene Klass.
Aside from her music focus though, Veronica would love to dabble in the soapland, and she wasted no time confessing that her ultimate dream is to bag a spot on Coronation Street.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Veronica said Corrie was right up her Cobble street – and it’s definitely one for the bucket list.
She said: “I don’t think any soap has explored the archetype of a character that does drag as a job.
“My dream is to not necessarily be in the show as my drag persona, but to be a named character that does drag as their job so you get to see the boy side as well as the drag side of a person.
“It’s something interesting that nobody else is doing. With Drag Race, you get a peek into the people behind the persona, but doing a soap opera would really be able to showcase that in its full glory.”
Veronica would certainly act as a good addition to the popular ITV soap, and it would certainly be a dream come true for the Queen who has just returned for a second series of Drag Race.
After an incredibly successful first season, Veronica has looked at multiple avenues to explore when it comes to her lasting career, and working with Myleene was one of the many things she was looking forward to doing.
She said: “The single went down really well. People have appreciated the different tone I’ve gone for. I wanted to defy expectations and conventions and be different.
“Working with Myleene was fantastic, when we opened the West End and she came out that was a dream come true, she expressed that she was really interested with working with me and she came into the studio and recorded the harp and piano and it was incredible.
“She worked her magic and added her own flair, it gives the song a beautiful finish.”
Veronica, who is focuses on enjoying herself and finding the right industry for her, confessed that she is at a cross roads.
She added: “There are a million things I want to do. I want to do film, TV, soap operas, theatres, panto, I want a one-woman show – I’m just finding the right one for me right now.”
In the interim, Veronica is busy, busy, busy with Drag Race, but who knows, will fans soon spot her on The Cobbles at some point soon? Only time will tell…
