Susan Boyle found fame on Britian’s Got Talent over a decade ago, famously flirting with Piers Morgan – but that is no longer the case.
The musical superstar has continued to flirt with Piers, 56, since she was catapulted to global stardom back in 2009 after performing I Dreamed A Dream.
However, it appears her days of fancying the former Good Morning Britain anchor are in her past and has put the dad-of-four to the back of her mind.
In a rare interview, Susan appeared on Heart Breakfast alongside Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston as she shared her views on the presenter.
When asked if she still fancied Piers, Susan, 60, said: “I respect him… But I don’t fancy him, I’ve grown up a bit now!”
This is a stark contrast to Susan’s revelation in 2019 while promoting her album, TEN, celebrating a decade in the music business.
The Scottish star said: “Now who wouldn’t like Piers Morgan? I took one look at him on Britain’s Got Talent and said, ‘I want you mate, I want you – come this way, Piersy Baby'”.
She added: “He’s a good laugh – he joins in and he’s very clever too. And gorgeous? You took the words right out of my mouth!”
Now, Piers has shared his reaction to the news, retweeting a clip shared by Heart FM alongside the caption: “Crushing,” alongside a crying emoji.
Despite her global success and staggering wealth, Susan has previously addressed how she stays grounded, while still living in her childhood home in Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland.
The singer also shed out £111,000 to buy the house next door and merged the two properties into one home, creating the perfect space for her.
However, she has previously splashed out £300,000 on a house but later returned to her former home, telling OK! Magazine: “It’s to do with the memories of your house and your upbringing, you need to take stock of things and maybe see where you come from and where your roots lie.
“It’s best to be grounded and with your roots, it keeps you grounded and prevents you from saying things maybe you shouldn’t say.”
The singer treats herself to a weekly allowance between £300 to £500, claiming it is “plenty” for her.
