Coronation Street’s Abi Franklin and Kevin Webster are set to go through a nightmare as their wedding approaches.
Fans of the ITV soap have been hoping that Abi (Sally Carman) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) would get their happy ever after – but it seems like that might not happen.
New Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Kevin’s sister Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) drops a bombshell on Abi that seems certain to keep her and Kevin apart for good.
As the week opens, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) tells Abi that they found Corey Brent’s blood stained clothes and handed them over to the police.
Abi leaves Jack (Kyran Bowes) with Debbie, and he tells his aunt that he’s worried that Abi is on her way to kill Corey (Maximus Evans).
When Abi gets home, she’s confronted by Debbie and Jack.
Debbie shows her the letter and demands an explanation.
Abi begs Debbie and Jack not to say anything about it to Kevin, but Debbie has other ideas.
She gives Abi an ultimatum – either walk away from Kevin and their wedding, or she’ll tell him all about the letter and the gun.
Abi tells Debbie that she’s going to tell the truth herself, and that she’ll get out of their lives too.
Soon, Kevin gets home and finds Abi packing up her things.
She tells him how she stole his money and used it to buy a gun so she could kill Corey, after he murdered her son Seb earlier this year, but Nina persuaded her not to.
Later, Kevin finds Abi in Seb’s memorial garden and tells her how much he loves her.
He begs her to meet him at the hotel, where he’ll be waiting to marry her – but what will she decide to do?
It turns out the decision might be taken out of her hands, it seems.
As Kevin and Jack wait at the wedding venue, they’re interrupted by Nina.
She reveals that she’s had a call from DS Swain, who told her that they’re reopening the case and are going to arrest Corey – but will he get away with murder again?
Will Abi and Kevin ever make it down the aisle?
And will Debbie continue trying to meddle in their relationship?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
