Strictly fans gutted as schedule blunder sees them miss Adam and Rose's dances

Strictly viewers were gutted after they missed part of Saturday night’s show due to a schedule change.

The BBC ballroom contest started at 7.10pm for Halloween Week but the latest instalment got under way 25 minutes earlier at 6.45pm.

So some people didn’t tune in until after fan faves like Adam Peaty and Rose Ayling-Ellis had hit the dancefloor.

Several flocked to Twitter to share their dismay over missing some of the action.

“Why did they change the time, I’ve missed half of it,” one person posted.

“Of course I tuned into Strictly 15 mins late and missed Adam Peaty…” said another miffed fan.

“F**** sake I thought this started at 7.15,” fumed another.

“Somehow missed the first 20 minutes of Strictly,” tweeted another.

However, once everyone was tuned in the show did not disappoint, with entertaining routines from the likes of Sara Davies and Dan Walker.

As predicted, a highlight was the moving rumba from John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

Bake Off champ John – who is making history on the show as one half of Strictly’s first ever all-male duo – previously said he was in tears after he first performed the “intimate” routine to Sting’s Shape Of My Heart.

“Because we’ve done all these very masculine things, we’ve done powerful things, which have been great, but to finally show a sensitive, emotional side is beautiful,” he said on the show’s spin-off It Takes Two.

And plenty of viewers found themselves reaching for the tissues too.

“Thank you for giving us this beauty, sat here in tears,” tweeted one.

Another posted: “John and Johannes have reduced me to tears. I’ve never heard that song by Sting before. But their rumba to that music was beautiful.”
