I'm A Celebrity's Louise Minchin jokes she's ended BBC career with BBC Breakfast snub

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Louise Minchin has ruffled feathers a little by choosing to conduct her first exit interview with Good Morning Britain.

Hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray quizzed Louise on her decision to choose the ITV breakfast show over her previous employer BBC Breakfast on Friday morning’s show.

Adil said to Louise: “We noticed that your first interview was here instead of BBC, that’s very telling isn’t it.”

Louise replied: “I’m going to be in terrible trouble, I expect my former boss will say that’s it’s over there.”

Kate then asked the former BBC Breakfast host: “You know what people are going to say, you’re here on GMB and you were adored on BBC are you thinking of making the move? Are you thinking of replacing me?”

Before Louise could reply, Adil chimed in to say: “Should Kate get her coat?”

Louise gushed and said: “No don’t get your coat, I’ve done it for 20 years, keep your coat!”

The presenter was kicked off the show on Thursday night and is looking forward to spending some more time with her family and possible writing a murder mystery novel in the near future.

Kate asked Louise what the future holds for her and she revealed: “I want to do a murder mystery about a strange reality show that is set in a castle.”

Louise was the fifth campmate evicted from the Castle

Louise Minchin has become the fifth famous face to be kicked off the show after Naughty Boy went the night before.

Louise and Olympian Matty Lee found themselves in the bottom two but the Olympic diver survived another day.

As Louise spoke to Ant and Dec about her time on the show, viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to share their disappointment with the result.

Another added: “Well done @louiseminchin really enjoyed your castle journey been wonderful seeing both you and @mrdanwalker off the sofa and having adventures while learning new skills way outside your comfort zones.”

A third person posted: “Louise has done so amazing looking after everyone in camp and conquered her fears. So proud of her. Can go away with your head held high @louiseminchin.”
