Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has opened up about her “painful” split from partner Charles Drury admitting that having a new baby took its toll on their relationship
The 35-year-old TV personality broke her silence on their short-lived split as she confirmed she was back together with her 24-year-old boyfriend just months after giving birth to their daughter, Larose.
Detailing the brief but “stressful” split, Lauren explained that having a new baby and moving home caused Charles to feel “overwhelmed with everything” and explaining that he “had to take five minutes out”.
Lauren added in her New! magazine column: “Listen, moving house and having a baby are very stressful things.

Having a baby, as well as it being a beautiful and amazing thing, really does test couples.
“For Charlie, it’s a lot of change and I think he was quite overwhelmed with everything. As much as he loves me and Larose, he had to take five minutes out.”
The couple called it quits just four months after they welcomed their daughter in July this year, thought Lauren insists the pair are “really good now”.
Lauren added that Charles “came home and wants his family”.
Amid their time apart Lauren and Charles were also tested when Larose had to spend time in hospital with suspected sepsis.
Lauren said: “The tests came back and they said, ‘She hasn’t got sepsis, she’s got a fever from an infection.’ I was like, ‘Phew!’ She was on antibiotics and a drip.
“By the second and third day, she was more herself. The doctor said, ‘You don’t need to panic. This is so common. Babies get ill 12 times a year.'”
The Essex-native recently took a swipe at Charles after he publicly announced their breakup while their baby daughter was in hospital.
Lauren was said to be devastated that Charles confirmed the split, especially while baby Larose was wired up to tubes and cannulas in hospital.
Like what you see? Then fill your boots…
“So hard to watch your daughter be in hospital with tubes, drips, canula, especially being held down. It has broken my heart,” she said.
But just hours after Lauren said little Larose was “on the mend”, Charles posted on Instagram to say they had broken up.
Charles wrote: “Only going to post this once. Me and Lauren have decided to go our separate ways. Things must remain civil for the sake of our daughter.
“Lauren is a great mum so when it comes to Larose we both have her best interests at heart so she will still see us both.”
