Westlife team up with music pros behind Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande hits for new track

Westlife have worked with the team behind some of the music world’s biggest hits for their new track Alone Together.

The Irish boy band’s track was co-written by the group and international music producer Rami Yacoub, who has a record of making big hits with music icons such as Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.

Talking about their new track and their upcoming arena tour, band member Mark Feehily told Daily Star. “2022 is going to be Wetslife’s biggest year yet and it is great to get going with the release of this new single.

“We’re super proud of it.

“It has been amazing to be part of writing Alone Together and working with such distinguished music producers. The entire album has been a massive success.

“We are now getting ready for an epic show at Wembley Stadium on 6 August and then onto a huge arena tour.

“It has been a tough couple of years for us and other musicians with the pandemic causing us to postpone things so we’re really going to make up for it on this tour.

“We’re preparing something really special for fans in the UK and Ireland. The tour will be amazing and there will definitely be a few surprises for everyone.

“It is mad to think after all these years we still have a massive fan base and we continue to sell out stadiums and arenas. We cannot wait to get on stage again.

“It’ll also be the first time Layla gets to see Westlife in action. That will be a special moment.”

This comes after the Westlife lads looked back on their early days at an intimate press event and revealed some hilarious behind the scenes tales about some of music’s biggest bosses.

The Westlife lads revealed what Simon’s office was like

During the cosy chat, hosted by Vernon Kay, the boys spilled a lot of secrets including one about a particular Mr Simon Cowell.

Nicky Byrne said: “Simon, he has a mirror in his office and behind him, Simon sits like you know that cartoon when you never got to see the guys face… Anyway…

“Behind him, it says ‘yes, Simon, you look terrific!’ engraved into the mirror, which is incredible. So, you’re looking at Simon and behind it says that.”
