Emmerdale’s local vicar Charles Anderson paid a visit to Meena Jutla in prison during the latest episode of the long-running soap, but fans warned him to stay away.
Charles plucked up the courage to see the twisted murderer behind bars on Thursday night but many viewers warned him that he shouldn’t be fooled by her lies.
When the pair conversed, Meena tried to convince Charles that Ben Tucker’s death was an accident and she killed him in defense.
She also tried to insinuate that her sister Mandeep Sharma deserved to be kidnapped. But as she continued to tell tales, Charles appeared to be sucked in.
Jumping onto Twitter, fans advised the vicar to wise up.
One viewer wrote: “Please don’t let Charles fall for Meena’s depraved stories.”
Another said: “Weird how easily Charles seems to believe mad Meena. He believed her over Manpreet about Ethan’s mum now this crap.”
A third exclaimed: “Now Meena is playing with Charles’s mind who says he’s so strong and she won’t manipulate him….when will the Meena storyline finally finish!!!”
A fourth upset viewer shared: “If Charles ends up being the reason Meena escapes or if he helps her in any way i will hate him forever! Please don’t let this happen @emmerdale, she is in prison now leave her rot there!”
While another angry viewer said: “F***s me off how easily Charles is soaking up Meena’s s**t after all he knows she done. It’s utterly ridiculous. Like anyone would believe a word she says.”
As Charles pressed Meena regarding Ben’s death, fans were perplexed by the fact that he never mentioned Andrea Tate.

Andrea and Charles had a close romantic connection, but last year Meena set her sights on her when Andrea saw her trying to kill Victoria Sugden.
Attacking her viciously, Meena then left Andrea for dead in a burning cornfield.
Jumping online again, fans shared their disbelief regarding Charles’ line of questioning.
One fan wrote: “Charles might be a man of God obviously but why the hell isn’t he as angry as everyone else currently? Andrea who clearly? If not for him & Manpreet she probably never would of been alone/in danger in the first place unfortunately & he’s barely even acknowledged her.”
