Emmerdale actress Zoe Henry has given fans a rare insight into her love life with co-star Jeff Hordley.
The soap stars, who play Rhona Goskirk and Cain Dingle in the ITV serial drama, have been together 28 years.
They met at drama school in 1994 when they were youngsters and have been together ever since.
Zoe, 48, appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Tuesday morning (March 22) to discuss her latest harrowing storyline.
However, conversation quickly turned to her person life as Lorraine Kelly quizzed her about working with her husband.
Lorraine, 62, pointed out that Zoe rarely appears in any scenes with Jeff.
The actress laughed as she replied: Which is great. We have a separate existence at work and we like that.
“We often do line learning together.”
Zoe also added that Jeff is currently “taking the weight” at home as she films Rhona’s heartbreaking storyline as she deals with the aftermath after fiancè Marlon Dingle’s stroke.
The fan favourite, played by Mark Charnock, suffered a life-changing stroke in emotional scenes which aired on Monday evening (March 21).
He’d been planning to propose to Rhona, after her mum Mary (Louise Jameson) inadvertently put the idea in his head.
The chef acquired an engagement ring for the occasion, and even attempted to pen a speech, but as the big day arrived, he was riddled with doubts, convinced that Rhona would turn him down.
Little did he know that Rhona was intent on asking him to marry her.
Realising the efforts Rhona had gone to in order to make him feel special on his birthdat, Marlon wasted not a single second as he got down on one knee to propose.
Rhona ordered that he get up at once, before instructing him to read what was written on the birthday cake she’d bought him – “Will you marry me?”
The bride-to-be withdrew an engagement ring for her beau, which reminded Marlon that he’d left his back at home, and thus he returned to his house to find it.
But while there, he suffered a devastating stroke.
Marlon’s daughter April Windsor found him motionless and unable to speak on the floor, and wasted little time in calling for an ambulance.
Rhona discovered what had happened, and raced to the hospital, where it was confirmed that Marlon had suffered a stroke and was in need of surgery.
She requested a moment with her fiancé, taking his hand, telling him how much she loves him.
Fans will have to wait and see whats next for Rhona and Marlon.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7.30pm
