Carlos Santana is “doing well” after collapsing on stage because of heat exhaustion and dehydration.
The rock superstar, 74, was performing at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Michigan when he collapsed, apparently in the middle of a song.
He was taken to local hospital’s emergency department after the scary incident.

The musician has now updated fans on Facebook, explaining: “Forgot to eat and drink water so I dehydrated and passed out.”
He also thanked fans for their “precious prayers”.
A message on his official website said: “Rock legend Carlos Santana was over-taken by heat exhaustion and dehydration during a concert Tuesday (5th July) evening in Michigan.
“The guitar great was taken from his show at Pine Knob Music Theatre (formerly DTE Energy Music Theatre), an outdoor amphitheatre in Clarkston, some 40 miles northwest of Detroit, Michigan.
“Carlos was taken to the emergency department at McLaren Clarkston for observation and is doing well, it was announced by Santana’s manager Michael Vrionis tonight.”
The message said that Carlos was due to take to the stage for another gig on 6th July but that it would be postponed to a later date.
Audience members posted messages on social media after Carlos collapsed, saying that medical staff were on stage and that the crowd had been asked to pray for the star.
One person shared a video showing the musician waving as he was helped off the stage.
Carlos, who was born in Mexico, has had a long music career, having found fame in the late 1960s.

He and his band have released several albums over the years, including Love Devotion Surrender, The Swing Of Delight and Havana Moon.
They have recently been touring in the US with the Miraculous Supernatural show.
