Scarlette Douglas has spoken out for the first time since she left I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in a surprising jungle exit as ITV bosses are flooded with ‘race row’ complaints.
The former A Place In The Sun presenter, 35, was announced as the second campmate to leave the Australian jungle just hours after Loose Women anchor Charlene White, 42, was dumped from the show.
Last night, the ITV star found herself in the bottom two alongside loveable comedian Babatúndé Aléshé, 36, which has cased the ITV reality show to face a slew of racism accusations.

Now, the raven-haired beauty confessed she knew she was the “underdog” in the series as she held her own in the star-studded show alongside big names such as Boy George.
Speaking to the Sun, Scarlette explained: “I’ve always come in here as an underdog. I’ve got the least profile of anybody else, you know, not everybody knows who I am. Hopefully they do now.
“So for me, all I could have done in the jungle was do my best and hope that people liked me and hoped that people voted for me.”
She went on to point out that she didn’t take her exit personally because people “aren’t voting for me to leave” but simply voting for their favourite person to win.
Scarlette continued: “But people aren’t voting for me to leave. They’re voting for their favourites are and if I’m not their favourite there’s nothing I can do about that. I just have to be true to me.
“Be authentic and just enjoy the experience and when my time comes, my time comes wherever it is.”
After her eviction, fans soon flooded to Twitter to share their fury at the TV star’s early exit on the four-week long series.
One user penned: “Two black women evicted first and people want you to believe racism is eradicated #imaceleb.”
Another agreed: “I am trying hard not to think about RACISM. This is RIDICULOUS. #ImACeleb.”
A third fumed: “I’m a celebrity results highlight the racism embedded in modern Britain. #ImACeleb.”
