Fans of The Chase were left fuming after one player decided to take a low offer of £1,000 during the episode on Monday night (January 30).
Contestant Robyn from London joined teammates Angeline, Fabe and Joe in a bid to win a big cash prize on the ITV quiz show, but they’d have to get through Chaser Mark Labbett first.
It started off well as Fabe managed to rack up a whopping £9,000 in his cashbuilder before making it back to the panel.

And Robyn racked up £7,000 in her own cashbuilder, but she ruffled a lot of feathers when she decided to take the low offer of £1,000 from Mark.
It meant her team lost out on £6,000 of their potential winnings if they were to beat Mark in the Final Chase at the end of the show.
Taking the low offer is a safer option for players as it makes it easier to get back to their team, but it’s fair to say viewers don’t like it.
It’s no surprise then that they rushed to complain about Robyn’s controversial tactic on Twitter during the episode.
One fan wrote: “Hopefully she gets caught, so annoying when people take the low offer.”
Another said: “LOW – get rid please!”
A third agreed: “I really shouldn’t get as annoyed as I do when they take the low offer on The Chase.”
A fourth added: “Did she take the low offer? Wtf”
But others thought it was a decent decision, with one tweeting: “She made the right decision going low These questions are brutes.”

But unfortunately, the low offer wasn’t enough to keep Robyn in the game as she was caught by Mark.
In the end, it was Fabe and Angeline who made it to the Final Chase with potential winnings of £17,000, but Mark was on form and managed to catch them with relative ease.
