Love Island star Joe Garrett has claimed he knows “exactly why” there’s no “bromances” this year.
The 2017 Islander appeared on a Reddit Q&A with 2022 series champion Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu this week.
They chatted about the current season of the ITV2 series as well as the lack of “bromance”.

Joe pointed out: “I think there’s times where you have them bromances, but I know exactly why it’s a problem this year.
“They at one point had nine boys in the villa, two more and they’ve got a full size football team, Yeah.
“That’s all they needed was two more. That was literally it.”
Some iconic bromances from over the years include Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard, Luke Trotman and Luke Mabbott and Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay.
However, there doesn’t appear to be any stand out bromances so far in the Winter Love Island 2023 villa.
Elsewhere in the chat, Joe revealed he’s close friends with Casey O’Gorman.
The 26-year-old recruitment consultant has been having a tough time in the villa recently.
Joe explained: “So Casey is a close friend of mine. I’ve known him a while now and he’s the absolute boy, genuinely a lovely boy.
“Clearly he’s been raised super well and a super respectful guy as well.
“And the person he is inside the villa right now is the exact same person me and all his other friends know.
He continued: “So it’s nice to see him truly be himself and also be committed as well.”
Things maybe on the up for Casey as new bombshell Claudia Fogarty picked him to go on a date during Wednesday’s (February 6) episode.
Following Claudia’s entrance, Casey admitted: “Oh my God, my heart’s going crazy. She’s my type to a T.”
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX nightly at 9pm
