Amanda Owen welcomes daughter back to family farm after years away from home

Amanda Owen has welcomed her eldest daughter back to Ravenseat after being away from home for years.

The 48-year-old Yorkshire Shepherdess couldn’t hide her delight at the good news as Raven, 21, returned to the North Yorkshire farm for the lambing season.

Raven moved away from home to enrol at York St John University, York, where she received a first-class degree in biology last year.

Mum-of-nine Amanda shared a number of snaps of her children with her 536k followers on Instagram.

The Our Yorkshire Farm star captioned the post: “Raven is back in the thick of it this weekend,” adding: “Everyone’s hands-on getting the ewes through the pens for ultrasound pregnancy scanning.”

She continued: “A lot of hands make light work. It didn’t take long to get the sheep through the pens and scanned. A smooth operation with little stress for everyone.”

Raven is seen in the first snap patting a horse in the stable, next to her mother and sister, and in other photo is seen holding a sheep for an ultrasound pregnancy scan.

Raven and her brother, Reuben, are seen smiling at the camera, and Raven is then seen participating in farming duties with her siblings.

In January, despite being used to the dangers on the farm, Amanda admitted it was still “scary” when one of her brood fell ill.

She told Times Radio: “Three weeks before Christmas, we had another medical emergency on the farm.

“And that was a scary one whereby one of the children was taken ill and that involved a helicopter coming, the air ambulance coming to pick us up… people say it must be amazing living rural, living the way you do.”

It comes after Amanda revealed her first solo project since her split from husband Clive Owen, announced in June 2022 – and she’s moving away from Channel 5.

Both are appearing on their separate TV shows. Amanda Owen stars in her own More4 series called Extraordinary Farming Lives, while Clive and his eldest son appear on their Channel 5 show titled Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben & Clive.
