Iconic 90s rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed he is desperate to join the cast of the popular soap opera, Coronation Street.
The 51-year-old rapper is a big fan of the show and would love to be a part of it, saying he would play a role “whenever they need” him.
“I love Coronation Street. If they call me I’ll do it. I’ll play whenever they need,” Snoop Dogg told The Sun, adding that he appreciates the show’s “cinematography, acting, the storylines, and just the reality” of the program.

“I’d like to be a part of it because they’ve been a part of my culture,” he said.
This isn’t the first time that a major celebrity has expressed their love for Coronation Street.
American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has previously revealed that he is also a fan of the show and was even offered a walk-on role.
Coronation Street has a long history of featuring guest stars, with Peter Kay and Sir Ian McKellen among the celebrities who have made appearances on the show over the years.
With Snoop Dogg’s interest in joining the cast, it remains to be seen if he will become the latest high-profile addition to the long-running soap opera.
If Snoop Dogg does end up appearing on Coronation Street, he won’t be the first rapper to make a cameo on the show. In 2015, British grime artist Tinchy Stryder made a brief appearance on the show as a friend of regular character Dev Alahan.
But it’s not just Coronation Street that has caught Snoop Dogg’s attention.
The rapper has also offered his services to King Charles III, saying that he would be willing to perform at the monarch’s coronation.
Speaking at the launch of his new game Hot Box with the crypto casino Roobet, Snoop also revealed that he would love to perform at King Charles III’s coronation in May, after several other stars turned down their invitations.
It is set to take place at Windsor Castle on Sunday 7 May, with a slew of stars taking to the stage to mark the occasion.
Harry Styles, legendary hitmaker Elton John and ’90s pop sensations the Spice Girls and singer Adele are all said to have been approached.
But they are all said to have turned the opportunity to perform down due to their busy schedules.
