US actress Gwyneth Paltrow had a cutting four word response as she won her court case against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson.
Sanderson, 76, accused Paltrow of causing a ski collision by skiing “out of control” at a Utah ski slope in 2016.
He claimed he was left with “permanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement.”

However, it took the jury two hours and twenty minutes to determine that Sanderson actually caused the accident, and Paltrow took her chance to speak to her accuser as she was granted permission to leave the courthouse before anyone else to protect her privacy.
She was seen leaning over Sanderson, placing her hand on his shoulder and appeared to say: “I wish you well”.
She had been skiing with her now husband Brad Falchuck and his children on a ski slope in Utah when the incident occurred.
Paltrow was awarded compensatory damages of $1 after claiming she was the victim of the crash and denied any wrongdoing.
Sanderson initially filed for damages of $3.1million (£2.5m) in 2019, although this was later reduced to $300,000 (£242k) by a judge.
He told the jury during the trial: “I just remember everything was great, and then I heard something I’ve never heard at a ski resort, and that was a blood-curdling scream.
“And then, boom, it was like somebody was out of control and going to hit a tree and was going to die.
“That’s what I [remembered] until I was hit.’ ‘I got hit in my back so hard… right at my shoulder blades, and the fists and the poles were right there at the bottom of my shoulder blades, serious, serious smack. Never been hit that hard.'”
After the trial, her lawyer Stephen Owens said in a statement: “We’re pleased with this outcome and appreciate the judge and jury’s thoughtful handling of this case,” he said.
“Gwyneth has a history of advocating for what she believes in. This situation was no different and she will continue to stand up for what is right.”
