Netflix viewers left in shock as ‘awful’ Rotten Tomatoes flop rises to number one

Netflix viewers have been left shocked after an “awful” 2017 movie has risen to the top of the most-watched list on the streaming platform.

The Snowman was about a woman who went missing and Micheal Fassbender, who played Harry Hole, discovered that it is related to a snowman.

The film cost $34 million (£ 27 million) to make but turned out to be a major flop and only profited $ 6.7 million (£5.4million.)

In the US and was rated at 6 percent on the website Rotten Tomatoes.

Despite the movie being slammed by viewers at the time, it is now top of the most-watched list on Netflix.

Netflix viewers have been left amused by the film’s rise through the ranks and took to social media to comment on the film.

One person wrote: “I tried to watch this cause I heard it was hilariously bad but mostly it was just very dull. Disappointing.”

Another said: “Don’t watch The Snowman on Netflix. Really dumb.”

A third penned: “The Snowman (2017) is the No 1 movie on Netflix right now, which is truly shocking.

“‘I will never forget seeing it in the theatre and legit thinking I like passed out or something because it made no sense by the end.

“Looked it up and roughly 15% of the script was never filmed!!!!’ “

But some people fell in love with the movie even though it was labeled “the worst film of 2017.”
