Eamonn Holmes reignites fiery This Morning feud with brutal swipe over show exit

Eamonn Holmes has taken another swipe at This Morning after he and wife and fellow presenter Ruth Langsford were kicked off their usual Friday slot back in 2021.

Now at GB News, Eamonn, 63, has made it no secret that there is a bit of bad blood still there, and he took another swipe at his old ITV home.

The presenter, who has been updating fans on his health struggles regularly, replied to a tweet from a fan who made a blatant dig at This Morning.

The tweet read: “I personally think This Morning has gone down hill since they got rid of Ruth and Eamonn.”

Eamonn simply replied: “And who am I to argue?”

He didn’t stop there though, as he hit the “like” button on a number of other posts which were criticising This Morning too.

One read: “Absolutely rubbish that show since Eamonn and Ruth left, I stopped watching it totally.”

A second said: “I don’t watch these days – it’s just too annoying for me.”

While another person said the show wasn’t as “warm and genuine” without Eamonn and Ruth.

Eamonn has made it clear he wasn’t happy about his removal from This Morning, and even revealed that he had been given no explanation.

He told The Times last year: “I just have issues with why they can’t tell you your time is up.

“Just have a conversation, any conversation. I was given no reason why I was blocked.”

At the time of the presenter shake-up, an ITV spokesperson said: “We would like to wish Eamonn all of the very best in his new role.

“As a duo, Eamonn and Ruth have been part of the This Morning presenting team for the last 15 years and we thank Eamonn for all of his hard work and contribution to the show.”

Eamonn moved to controversial network GB News, while Ruth was not axed altogether from ITV and stayed as one of the main presenters of Loose Women.
