Reading a question to the card aloud, he told viewers at home: “Yes or no, will there be a One Direction reunion? Will it ever happen?”

He confessed: “I fear that it’s not a yes or no question. I think I would never say never to that. If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don’t see why we wouldn’t.”

It comes after Late Late show bosses even teased that band’s absence in a cheeky skit as James is heard talking about kidnapping Niall, Zayn, and the rest of One Direction.

James told viewers: “Maybe finally I’ll kidnap One Direction,” as a picture of each One Direction member with the word “kidnap” appeared on the screen.

Soon after the segment aired, One Direction superfans took to social media to share their reaction to the cheeky tease as fans fumed that the boy band were not “reuniting”.

It comes after the turntable he and his dancers practised on for the Grammys malfunctioned and began to spin in the wrong direction.

The singer confessed that leading up to the performance, he had been stressed about both singing and the complex choreography.

He confessed: “I hadn’t even thought about the idea that it might go the wrong way.”

When the turntable began to move in the opposite direction, Harry said he and the dancers “were kind of looking at each other, like ‘What do we do?”
