Emmerdale fans reckon a classic character from the noughties could be set to return after more than 15 years away from the ITV soap.
Recently, Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) continued to struggle with exam stress and her dad Bob (Tony Audenshaw) suggested she should go and stay with her older brother Scott Windsor.
Scott was last seen on the soap in 2007 and had been played by actor Ben Freeman since 1998, though was previously portrayed by Toby Cockerell from 1993 to 1996.

But since he was mentioned again, Emmerdale fans reckon he could be set to return – especially since bosses promised a beloved character would be back soon.
One person said: “I do like the mentions of Scott. Hopefully pave the way for him and Jean to come back in to the vilage.”
Another said: “Bound to be bringing him back now then.”
As a third said: “There was a Scott mention OMG!”
Since Emmerdale, hunky Ben has had appearances on EastEnders, Doctors and in The Three Musketeers.
Recently, Emmerdale’s executive producer Jane Hudson teased the return of a character from the past.
Speaking of upcoming storylines, she said: “There is another wedding, at least one, coming up before we get to the end of summer.
“And we’ll have a familiar face returning, which I think the audience will be absolutely delighted with.”
Only time will tell who the character will be, however viewers did get a blast from the past last week when Thomas King returned after 10 years away.
Now played by James Chase, the actor looked set to restart his romance with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) after their relationship in the early 2010s.
But some viewers think he could be part of a more sinister plan involving other dastardly characters.
They noticed he looks a lot like another recently introduced character Ally (Josh Horrocks), who has been hooking up with Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope), who is engaged to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham).
Some viewers think Tom King could be involved in a storyline which will see Nicky finally exposed – with Gabby and Belle left as collateral damage.
