Margot Robbie ‘can’t believe she got away with’ filming very raunchy orgy scene

Margot Robbie is the first to admit that she has no idea how the cast and crew of Babylon “got away” with filming a wild orgy scene.

In a wild sequence for the 2022 Oscar nominated flick, Margot’s character Nellie LaRoy gets hot and heavy on the dance floor, as the saxophone music playing on-stage gets wilder and wilder.

As she twirls with several different men, Margot could be seen chuffing on a cigarette as she showed off her incredible figure in a plunging red gown, before collapsing on the floor.

Later, she’s carried over the heads of her loyal admirers.

But the racy scene was so “mad” Margot can’t believe it was allowed to air.

Chatting to Carey Mulligan for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Margot described the sequence as “this enormously debauched, crazy, wild party” featuring “lots of people wearing very little or nothing”.

She said: “It’s pretty much a party-slash-orgy. It kind of turns into an orgy.

“When I read the script, I was like, this is like La Dolce Vita and Wolf of Wall Street had a baby – and I love it. But I was like, are we allowed to show that? Are we allowed to show that?”

Margot went on: “There were so many scenes where I was like, a) I have no idea how I’m going to do that, and b) are we going to get away with this?”

She joked: “Everyone should see Babylon with their parents. It won’t be awkward at all.”

Margot has also confessed that her kissing scene with Brad Pitt in the movie was totally unscripted as she took the opportunity to snog her A-list co-star.

She told E! News that the moment “wasn’t in the script”.

Explaining: “I thought, ‘When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I’m just going to go for it.’

“I said, ‘Damien, I think Nellie would just go up and kiss Jack. And Damien was like, ‘Well, she could – wait, hold on. You just wanna kiss Brad Pitt’.

“And I was like, ‘Oh, so sue me. This opportunity might never come up again.’ And he was like, ‘It does work for the character,’ and I was like, ‘I think so.’”

Barbie star Margot said she has “never worked that hard in her life” before Babylon, and was “shattered” by the end of the gruelling shoot.
