He has also attempted to kill his boss Carla Connor and his bride-to-be Elaine Jones after he drugged them with LSD.
Luckily, the pair managed to survive the horrific attacks but viewers are convinced it is only a matter of time before his crimes are uncovered.
Now, beloved actress Paula, who plays Elaine Jones on the soap, has lifted the lid on Stephen’s downfall set to air later this summer.
In an interview with Daily Star and other press, the TV star revealed how their relationship takes a turn for the worse when the bride-to-be meets the Canadian’s sister for the first time.
She told us: “She happens to see a photograph when she’s sitting with Stephen’s sister Gail and it’s a photo of Stephen’s ex-wife.
“And Elaine realises that a few days before she’d seen this woman’s face on Stephen’s computer because he was on a zoom call with this woman.
“At the time he quickly finished the call and says, ‘Oh it was a business associate and not to worry because I’ll pick up the conversation later’.
“But Elaine did get a good look at this woman and when she saw the photograph of Gabrielle, she realises it’s the same woman.”
The actress revealed that it is at this point that Elaine works out her future husband has been lying to her about his life for months.
Paula went on: “I think she thinks it’s really frightening and it’s like all of these feelings and Tim’s comments, and the confusion that she’s felt especially recently come to the surface.
“And now that [picture] is proof, positive proof that he’s a liar and a cheat and he does it so well.”
“I think her reaction is horror and shock and deep, deep sadness I think too but really shocked.
“She really goes into a tailspin at that point, and I think from then on she really is seeing the light and it’s really a moment, like that’s it.”
But things are only set to get worse for the wealthy resident after she discovered he had forged her signature on a false life insurance document.
Elaine suddenly begins to fear for her life after discovering the truth about the man she is due to marry, adding: “If she wanted any more proof, this is certain proof.
“He’s forged her signature on a document which means that if she dies he’ll make a lot of money.
“Then you realise of course, he’s been talking about money none stop, telling her, ‘Don’t sell your house, keep your house, keep your money. Give me some money so that I can buy the factory and then I can pay you back’.

She added: “So much of what he’s talked to her about is money, money, money, money, money and there it is in black and white.
“Her signature. [She thinks], ‘I didn’t sign that, somebody has forged my signature and the only person that it can be is the one that I loved and trusted’.”
But will Elaine be able to call off the wedding or will Stephen take matters into his own hands?
