Emmerdale viewers have been sent into a frenzy after some appeared to recognise new character, Julie Sawyer.
Last week, a distressed Julie appeared in the soap after her creepy husband Lloyd received a deadly punch from Dan Spencer.
However, when Julie discovered that Dan was responsible for landing her husband in hospital, she was left feeling confused and angered.

Seemingly unaware that Lloyd had been stalking Amelia, Julie told Dan that her hubby “wouldn’t hurt a fly”.
But despite all the antics taking place, fans have been left distracted as they seemed to recognise actress Emma Stansfield, who plays Julie, from rival soaps.

Emma has had a stellar soap career and previously played the character Ronnie Clayton in Coronation Street from 2005-2006.
She then returned to the long-running soap as a new character, Penny, in 2021.
Not only this but Emma has also appeared in BBC’s EastEnders playing the role of DS Olivia Kowalski in 2019.
Her other credits also include BBC’S Casualty, Call The Midwife and Doctors.
After recognising Emma on Emmerdale, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts and to also praise the star for her acting ability.

One chuffed viewer said: “Great actress. Great to see Her again.”
Another said: “Has she been in coronation street many years a go with Steve McDonald?”
A third curious soap watcher asked: “Where have I seen Lloyd’s wife before ?” to which another t fan replied: “She was in Corrie yrs ago, called Ronnie went out with Steve x.”
Meanwhile, another fan added: “Corrie… Father Brown… Quite a few things.”

In her second Corrie stint, playing the role of Penny, Emma’s character had a bitter feud with Tyrone Dobbs after she didn’t invite his daughter Hope to her child’s birthday party.
However, Penny then tried to convince Tyrone they hadn’t invited Hope because they were actually limited on number of people they could invite and they’d picked names out of a hat.
Trying to defend herself, Penny said: “Some parents might not want Hope around their children, but we don’t feel like that I can assure you.
“Hope’s problems are the school’s problems, the community’s problems, they’re all of our problems.”
