Davina McCall gives Piers Morgan a ‘behaviour’ warning as she makes savage royal dig

Presenter Davina McCall appeared to give Piers Morgan a stern warning and told him to be on his “best behaviour”.

The 55-year-old took the stage to present The Who Cares Wins Awards with The Sun. Honouring NHS workers who have gone above and beyond their roles, the special event was filled to the brim with celebrities.

But as Davina stood in the audience to deliver news of a special message from King Charles, she told everyone that they had to ensure they behaved well. Standing behind Piers, the presenter gave him a light smack on his arm to get his attention.

She said: “OK, time for a break, but coming up it’s the award for best charity and we’ve got a very special message from his majesty the King. So everybody please on your best behaviour.”

Davina McCall gave Piers Morgan a stern instruction

Staring down at Piers, she added: “Yeah, and you Piers. I’m watching. OK don’t go away.”

Looking stunned at her instructions while sat next to football legend Harry Redknapp, Piers appeared to mouth the words, “who me”. The audience could also be heard in the background giggling at the scene too.

The Who Cares Wins Awards made for emotional viewing on Sunday night (September 24) with may viewers left “sobbing” at the scenes. But it also received backlash for the number of celebs in attendance

Davina presented the prestigious awards

Complaints were also directed to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The PM stepped onto the stage to give an award to NHS workers but due to the recent disputes regarding pay rises in the medical industry, fans found the message confusing.

Taking to X formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts. One social media user said: “#whocareswins awards is such a load of s**t! Politicians presenting awards when they’re responsible for the sinking NHS?? Why has Rishi not been made a scapegoat yet?”

Another fan fumed: “He appreciated and supported them on a stage, but he wouldn’t pay them a decent wage.” Meanwhile a third complained: “More so called celebrities instead of the people they claim to recognise at all the tables instead of the people who really matter. Shocking display of arrogance of freeloaders instead of NHS Staff.”
