Lauren Goodger set for TOWIE return seven years after exiting show as ‘time is right’

Lauren Goodger is said to be returning to The Only Way Is Essex after deciding it’s “the right time” for a comeback.

The star was one of the original cast members of the reality TV show when it started in 2010 but she quit as a regular in 2012, just making guest appearances since then. Lauren has kept busy, appearing on other programmes like Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother, and she has also become a mum.

But according to OK!, the TV beauty is now eyeing a return to the show that made her a star. Her return has been rumoured for a while and a source has now told the mag that the timing could be right.

“She would consider going back this time,” the insider said. “It would be a bit of a shock for viewers, but she’s getting a lot of love at the moment. It would be so exciting to see her on the show as she is now – as a single mum back out in the dating world.”

Lauren is apparently set to return to TOWIE

Lauren was a favourite on the reality show, with fans gripped by her relationship with Mark Wright, who she was dating at the time. One memorable scene in the show saw the TV beauty shove Mark – who is now married to actress Michelle Keegan – into a swimming pool after he didn’t invite her to a party.

Her TOWIE comeback has been rumoured for some time and in January it was reported that show bosses wanted her back. The 37-year-old has seemed to drop the odd hint about it too, fuelling the speculation.

Lauren used to date Mark Wright

Earlier this year, a representative for the TV star told the Daily Mail: “Lauren holds fond memories of her time on TOWIE and certainly that chapter of her life isn’t fully closed. Lauren’s currently enjoying her time focused on being a mummy and spending quality time with family and friends.”

Lauren’s rep added that the reality TV show would “always be a part of her extended TV family”.

In July 2021, Lauren welcomed daughter Larose with her then partner Charles Drury. The following year the star announced they were expecting again, but in July she shared that the baby girl had passed away at two days old.
