Christina Hendricks looked sensational sporting a swimsuit during her trip to Ireland.
The 48-year-old actress showed off her weight loss when she traded her clothes for a brown one-piece swimsuit and took to the sea for a plunge. Christina wowed fans on Instagram with a series of snaps on Thursday (September 28) after the “terrifying” and “exhilarating swim.
The Mad Men beauty revealed her slim physique as she stood on the edge of a rock overlooking the Irish Sea. One photo saw her unlock her wild side and brave the chilly water by submerging herself.

Another caught her warming herself up after the daring dip, with some help from a large green winter jacket. A third snap showed fans the beautiful view of the sea, where a rainbow could be seen on the horizon.

Ex-model Christina explained that she had a fear of the ocean but didn’t want to let that stop her from a new life experience. In her caption, she wrote: “Those of you who know me well, know I have a fear of the ocean. But bigger than that fear, is the fear of not doing something extraordinary because I’m too scared. So, I decided I would go to the 40 ft. In Dublin and jump into the Irish Sea.”

She continued: “But before I could take my own steps, the ocean, in one dramatic wave, grabbed me from this rock and through me under, scraping my leg, plunging me underwater with a mouth full of salt water as I was gasping for breath and then pummeling me over and over again with waves that made it almost impossible to swim back to land.”

The red-haired film star added: “But I did it. And it was exhilarating. I survived. And I might even do it again. But better planning next time…. I’m proud of myself”. Fans flocked to the comments to praise her on her achievement.
