Katie Price shares Russell Brand encounter as she says ‘truth always comes out’

Katie Price has opened up about her experience with Russell Brand, declaring the “truth always comes out” in the wake of a series of allegations against the 48-year old.

It follows the Channel 4 Dispatches documentary in which four women accused Brand of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse at the height of his fame – claims which he vehemently denies, adding that all his sexual relationships have been consensual. Since the broadcast, a number of other women have come forward to accuse the former Big Brother’s Big Mouth star of further offences and misdemeanours – with former glamour model Katie the latest to speak out.

The mother-of-five claims she witnessed Brand trying to woo another woman despite being in a relationship at the time. She did state, however, that in the majority of her meetings with the comedian, she found him to be a “nice guy” and “quite funny”.

One of her experiences stands out though, in which she recalls Brand allegedly “tried to pull” her stylist. “We were stuck in LAX airport with him once. He had his girlfriend with him and I was with Pete [Andre, her ex-husband],” Katie told the Guardian.

She continued: “He was trying to pull my stylist when his girlfriend was out there standing with her, so to me that says a lot. The truth always comes out in the end.”

It comes as Thames Valley Police revealed it is opening its own investigation into Brand’s conduct following news London’s Metropolitan Police Service is looking into historic claims he had sexually assaulted women in 2003.

The Mail Online claims Thames Valley Police said they were probing for “information in relation to the harassment and stalking allegations” made by an unknown woman. According to police logs seen by the publication, the woman made claims that Brand was a “sexual predator”.

Living near Brand around the time of 2015, the pair initially became friendly. However, the friendship came to an abrupt end and both the woman and Brand accused each other of harassment.

The force had previously looked into the woman’s claims and had dismissed the allegations. However, in the aftermath of the explosive exposé on Brand by Dispatches, together with The Times – officers are now re-investigating the claims.

Last month Brand denied the allegations outlined against him in the documentary in a video statement, saying: “Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute. These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time, when I was in the movies, and as I’ve written about extensively in my books I was very, very promiscuous.

“Now during that time of promiscuity the relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual. It’s worth mentioning there are witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narratives these two mainstream outlets are trying to construct, apparently in what seems to me to be a co-ordinated attack. I don’t want to get into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations but I feel like I’m being attacked and plainly they are working very closely together.”
