This Morning set for new hosts to replace Holly Willoughby in major revamp

This Morning is reportedly set to undergo a “complete” revamp – following Holly Willoughby’s abrupt exit.

The TV star, 42, confirmed that she will not be returning to the famous blue sofa in an emotional message to fans. She decided to leave her job after 14 years “for me and my family” after missing episodes of the programme.

Now, it’s been claimed that ITV bosses are looking for the “new Phil and Holly”. And it seems they’ve got a selection of “exciting” female names in the running too.

According to reports the current roster, including the likes of Alison Hammond and Craig Doyle, will remain. But two brand new presenters will be joining the This Morning family.

From January, two untested hosts are said to be taking over the show in a redesigned set. ITV fan favourite Ben Shephard is reportedly one name being considered.

Ben, who co-hosted the show last month alongside Holly, will be screen-tested alongside “exciting” female names. Speaking to The Sun an insider claimed: “This Morning boss Martin Frizell will continue to lead the charge and is working tirelessly to give viewers what they want — a warm, buzzy, feel-good magazine show, marshalled by two fresh new anchors.

“A stream of exciting presenters, from all different walks of life, will meet with execs over the next few weeks until they find a pairing with the perfect chemistry.” The source added: “The goal is to bring back the chemistry of the show’s halcyon days and get viewing figures back up to the million mark.”

Reports of the “revamp” comes after Holly posted an emotional statement announcing she had quit This Morning. Taking to her Instagram, she wrote: “I have let ITV know today that, after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
