The Chase fans confused over player’s real age as Bradley Walsh asks for confirmation

The Chase fans were left questioning the legal age of a player on Friday’s episode of the ITV gameshow (October 13) after a very young contestant appeared on the panel.

As four new players battled it out against brainiac Darragh “the menace” Ennis in a bid to bag a heap of cash, it was player Chloe that caught viewers eye, with many wondering if she was old enough to appear on the show at all.

“Chloe looks about 12” said one fan.

“Did Chloe get permission to take the day of school for this?” penned another.

“Is Chloe even old enough to be on this show? She looks 12?” added a third.

The medical student, who admitted she was taking a year off to gain “life experience”, was even asked by Brad “how old are you” with Darragh commenting that she was “very brave to come on the show at her age”.

Chloe revealed she was in fact 20-years-old, but only managed to bag £2k in her cash builder round.

Deciding to play it safe, Chloe chose the low offer served up by the chaser of just £1k – but despite this giving much more room for error while being chased to the finish line, she was soon caught by Darragh and booted off the show.

Player Richard was also sent home after being caught, leaving just Jo and Paul in the final.

The dynamic duo took their £9k to the final chase and after scoring a decent 17 questions correctly they waited with baited breath as Darragh attempted to catch them.

After a series of blunders, Darragh gave the pair several opportunities to catch him after getting the answers wrong ad the pair took full advantages.

With an impressive 4 questions remaining, Darragh ran out of time allowing the pair to take home their winnings.

Darragh admitted it was possibly his “worst performance ever.”

“Well done Team today! It really is about the pushbacks! Hard luck

@bones_giles but you’ll fight again another day!” said one fan.

“I hope the chasers aren’t on performance based bonuses shocking today #thechase,” penned a second.
