Family Guy has taken a savage swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the show mocked the couple for getting paid to do “no one knows what”.
Cartoon versions of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were featured in the latest episode of Seth McFarlane’s long-running animated sitcom, which follows dad Peter Griffin and his dysfunctional family who live in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island. The royal couple, who stepped down as working members of the British Royal Family and moved to the US back in 2020, were brutally mocked over their new life across the pond as the show made digs at their Netflix deal.
In the episode, which aired on Sunday, Peter compared himself to Harry and Meghan while sitting at a bar with friends and worrying about getting back some money he’s owed. He decides his best solution would be to “go it alone” just like the Sussexes did.

The scene then cuts away to the royal couple lounging by a pool and the show’s writers didn’t hold back as a butler walks over to Harry, hands him an envelope and says: “Sir, your millions from Netflix for no one knows what.” Cartoon Harry arrogantly waves away the money as he responds: “Put it with the rest of them”.
The animated Meghan’s phone then buzzes with a notification and she turns to Harry, saying: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.” The clip ends with a fed-up Harry replying: “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense,” in an apparent dig at the British monarchy.
Harry and Meghan signed a five-year contract with Netflix in 2020 apparently worth a whopping $100million (£82million), Forbes reports. Their docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which revealed behind-the-scenes stories from their life, was the first project to come from the deal.
They then narrated Live to Lead, a series which followed the careers and lives of figures such as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg. Earlier this year they also released a third project with the streaming platform, Heart of Invictus.
The docuseries follows six people from around the world competing in the 2022 Invictus Games. The Family Guy skit comes just months after the couple were roasted on another adult animation series, South Park.
While the couple weren’t named on the show, back in February an episode titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour appeared to ridicule their requests for privacy as it featured a red-headed prince and his wife, who was wearing an outfit Meghan wore in 2018. The episode didn’t go down well with the royal couple as sources claimed the Duchess of Sussex was left “upset and overwhelmed” by the brutal takedown.
