It’s a pairing no one could have predicted – Jason Derulo Slidin’ into the DMs of a British lad who shoes horses for a living.
Horse farrier San Dracott, from Surrey, got a shock when he logged on to find a message from the 34-year-old American pop superstar, who has topped the charts all over the world with hits such as Talk Dirty and Ridin’ Solo. The singer is apparently a fan of Sam’s work and wanted to know if he could share a video showing him hard at work.
While it might sound a bit strange at first, Sam is actually something of viral superstar in his own right, regularly sharing satisfying videos of his day-to-day work to his TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

He gave Derulo permission to use his footage and the singer reposted it on YouTube Shorts to his 22.3 million subscribers. The video is less Talk Dirty and more Look Dirty with Sam removing mud and debris from a horse’s hoof.
Both Derulo and Sam have had insane success through TikTok. Derulo’s hit single Savage Love was an exceptionally popular choice for use on TikTok videos in 2020, with a dance that was performed by users all around the world.

Meanwhile, more recently for Sam, the farrier was awarded the TikTok accolade for being the most viewed UK TikTok video of 2022, now seen an incredible 325.7 million times – and counting. Sam is again hoping to reach the top 10 this year, with a video already amassing an impressive 193.4 million plays.
On his recent collab, he said: “I’m still shocked that Jason Derulo reached out. Seeing a direct message from his account, which has nearly 30 million Insta followers, asking to share my content was crazy. It just goes to show that not everyone who watches my content is horsey.”
