Giovanni Pernice has announced a major new career move – a week after his celeb partner quit Strictly Come Dancing.
The dancer was partnered up with actress Amanda Abbington for this year’s series. Following their last few performances, the pair marked themselves as strong contenders to bag this year’s Glitterball trophy.
However last week, Amanda dramatically decided to walk away from the glitzy dancing competition. As exclusively reported by the Daily Star, the actress withdrew following medical concerns.

Now, a week later and Giovanni has revealed his major new career move. And his loyal legion of fans soon had a lot to say.

Over on Instagram, Giovanni has launched his first-ever fragrance, Vita. Sharing the news with fans, he said it’s a “dream come true.”
He told his one million followers: “VITA is my new fragrance for men and women – an intoxicating scent that captures the sensuality, vitality and energy of Sicily. I have long been passionate about fragrance and the way scent can captivate the emotions and transport us to another place.

“VITA is the embodiment of my passions, a personal and complex fragrance which slowly seduces as it unfolds on the skin. I hope you love VITA as much as I do.”
Fans were quick to share their excitement in the comments section. One fan proclaimed: “Happy Christmas to me. All ordered. Congrats, so happy for you.”
Echoing their thoughts, a second quipped: “Congratulations Gio, this is fab news. Ordered already & I can’t wait to try it…” Someone else penned: “Congratulations on your next adventure! Order is in, can’t wait to try it.”

In other Strictly news, it’s been reported that before deciding to quit the show, Amanda was reportedly left “frazzled and fragile” after tiring and intense training sessions with Giovanni. Insiders close to the actress said they “weren’t surprised” to learn that the mum-of-two opted to leave the dancing show behind.
According to the sources, Amanda “didn’t know what she’d let herself in for” before going ahead with her participation. Things were not helped when she “didn’t gel” with pro Giovanni.
