Friends actor Matthew Perry allegedly “hurled a table” at his ex girlfriend as damning claims about the funnyman emerge – days after the coroner closed the case on his cause of death
Former fiancée Molly Hurwitz claims the incident happened when she confronted him over “cheating” in 2021. Another allegation suggests the star also threw live-in sober companion Morgan Moses “against a wall” in 2022.
Perry’s legacy now hangs in the balance as the damning claims come to light. The troubled star was found dead in the hot tub aged 54 at his Pacific Palisades home.

A postmortem revealed he had died as a result of overdosing on ketamine. The investigation into his death also reported that the drug found in his body was of similar levels used to anaesthetise patients.
Perry said detailed in his 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Things that he had finally gone sober, but given the amount of Ketamine in his system it would seem he’d fallen off of the wagon.
In that book Perry referred to his live-in sober companion as “Erin” but reports since claim this to be a fictitious name for Morgan Moses. According to a source, she’d quit her job and cut all contact with the actor a year prior to his death.
A source told the Mail: “Morgan was no longer working with Matthew. He had a horrible breakdown and in the heat of the moment he could not control his emotions.”
They added “He had a fear that he was going to be abandoned. He shoved Morgan into a wall and threw her onto a bed. She left. The man those close to him knew and the man that the world saw were two very different people.”
Daily Star has contacted Morgan’s representatives for comment.
Perry is also alleged to have been physically violent to his ex fiancée Hurwitz. The pair began dating in 2018 but just three years later called off their engagement.
It was believed the pair had parted ways in the summer after Perry had been caught in flirty chat on the dating app Raya with 19-year-old Kate Haralson. However, the source claims that their romance actually came crashing down in February after a bust up.
They explained to the Mail: “He threw a coffee table at her and told her that she was crazy. He hated that she dumped him and he had terrible abandonment issues.”
Daily Star has contacted Hurwitz and representatives for Perry.
