Corrie fans gobsmacked at ‘horny’ soap icon Mary Taylor as new love interest ‘sealed’

Coronation Street fans were left in stitches as Mary Taylor attempted to make her move on a leather-clad biker.

The character, played by Patti Clare, made her debut on the cobbles back in 2018. And it’s fair to say she’s had a rather rocky love life.

But in the latest instalment on Tuesday (February 13) she appeared to swoon over a new character and fans couldn’t help but point it out. In the episode, Billy Mayhew was determined to make Valentine’s Day special for hubby Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).

Fans will recall how Paul is battling with MND (motor neurone disease) and a few weeks ago he agreed to help him end his life when the time comes. So, in a bid to make every memory count he has lined up a selection of things for the pair to do.

Mary was left swooning

On Tuesday (February 13) he treated Paul to a ride on a motorbike and a sidecar driven by biker Dewy. When the boys arrived back in the cobbles, they were greeted by Mary. But the soap icon was more interested in chatting to the biker driver – and visibility swooned over him.

After hearing his name was Dewy, she told him: “What a fine name!” Looking deep in his eyes, she went on: “Evoking Mother Nature’s early morning dew – what could be more enticing!”

Fans were left in stitches over Mary ‘flirting’

Summer then chimed in and said: “Just off to you’re girlfriends aren’t you Dewy.” Looking awkward, Mary added: “Oh well, let’s crack on,” as she flashes a cheeky smile at Dewy.

The moment didn’t go amiss from viewers at home. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Mary is such a flirt!” Someone else added: “She’s gagging for it.” A third quipped: “What mary means mate is she’s dripping wet for you…”
