Bill Bailey has opened up about one of his most embarrassing TV moments.
When asked if he’s ever had any red-faced moments throughout his career, he confessed that there was one connected to his first TV job. Bill told us: “My very first TV appearance was for a show about a mind-reading dog…
“And I just thought ‘It’s got to be better than this. Things are only going to improve!'” Bill’s TV debut had been on the children’s show Motormouth in the late 1980s – where he played piano for a mind-reading dog.

Neil Buchanan and Gaby Roslin had also spent time on the show during its heyday of 1988-1992. Bill has also worked on plenty of shows since including Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Have I Got News For You.
We also asked Bill if he’d be up for joining a show that is currently on, Celebrity Big Brother. The TV star answered: “I tend to get on with most people and I’m always interested in hearing people’s stories and end up trying to figure people out.
“But the only trouble with the Big Brother House is… You’re stuck indoors and wouldn’t be able to get out for a stroll!”
Bill has been working with The National Lottery on their new campaign. The National Lottery recently who shared their research which showed how people feel themselves are stuck in a digital fix, with 24% of people considering scrolling through social media to be a genuine hobby.
Talking about the partnership, Bill said: “When National Lottery asked me to be involved in this campaign I thought it was a great idea. I think it’s easy to fall into a pattern of behaviour when we have a bit of spare time and think ‘I’ll just go on my phone or watch a bit of TV’, so I think National Lottery Open Week is a great incentive to get out and about and try new things, and it resonated strongly with me.
