Rebel Wilson admits age she lost virginity – and it’s later than you’d expect

Rebel Wilson has revealed that she didn’t lose her virginity until much later than most.

The actress confessed to People that she would “leave the room” when the conversation turned to sex and some of her peers thought 24 was “late”. Wilson said: “I’m sitting here thinking: ‘Oh my god, my number’s 35, what the hell? I’m going to look like the biggest loser.”

Wilson branded herself a “late bloomer” as she detailed what it was like to lose her virginity at 35, a move which she sometimes found “embarrassing”. She explained: “There was one vague time, I think I told my best friend: ‘Oh yeah, I just did it to just get it over with when I was like 23,’ just to really avoid the questions.”

She then spoke out in support of those who have yet to lose their virginity or feel the pressure to do so. Rebel urged her fans to “wait” if it isn’t the right time and do what feels comfortable for them.

Wilson stated: “Not everybody has to lose their virginity as a teenager, people can wait [until] they’re ready or wait [until] they’re a bit more mature and I think that could be a positive message. You obviously don’t have to wait until you’re in your thirties like me, but you shouldn’t feel pressure as a young person.”

The Pitch Perfect actress is now 44 and is happily engaged to her fianceé Ramona Agruma. Wilson came out in June 2022 by revealing her relationship with the entrepreneur and added a sweet message.

The actress is set to release her memoir Rebel Rising

On Instagram, Wilson typed that she had been “searching for her Disney prince” when what she “really needed was a Disney princess”. Rebel and Ramona share a daughter together.

The Australian actress gained popularity after starring in the comedy film Bridesmaids, during which she had a number of memorable lines that skyrocketed her to fame in the States. Since then, Wilson has starred in What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Jojo Rabbit, The Hustle and Senior Year.

Perhaps her most iconic role was in the Pitch Perfect film series.
