Gogglebox brother and sister duo Simon and Jane Minty have very different jobs away from the Channel 4 show.
The pair joined the programme in 2021 and have entertained us ever since with their hilarious TV commentary. Away from the screen, however, the North Londoners live very different lives.
Simon, 55, who has dwarfism, works as a disability and diversity training consultant for his own firm, Sminty Ltd. According to its web site, the company “works with major corporate organisations in the UK and internationally to assist clients deliver strategic and innovative programmes that improve the recruitment, retention, and promotion of disabled staff and deliver better services to disabled customers.”

On Friday (March 29) Simon took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share a video ahead of the Easter installment of Gogglebox. “You’ll never guess what we watched this week,” he said. “Hope you enjoy tonight’s Gogglebox. Very much hope you have some time to relax this long Easter Weekend. Take care.”
In an accompanying video Jane plugged the show, telling viewers they could look forward to some “fabulous” TV. Simon then jumped from behind the sofa joking that he thought he was “being hunted”.
Jane, meanwhile, revealed in 2022 that she works in a kitchen and has regularly shared snaps from the kitchen to the pair’s joint Instagram account. In one photo she can be seen smiling and holding a lemon cake, which she captioned: “Homemade cakes at work today …will try and save a piece for Simon to try!! Happy day at work.”
In October she posted another shot of herself at work – laughing after managing to get cheese sauce in her hair. My job versus Simon’s!” she wrote. “He wears shiny shoes, smart suits and looks fab. Today I got tangled up in a fight with a hand whisk and a cheese sauce!!! Hair wash tonight!!!”
Simon appeared in the comments section, responding sweetly: “You always look fab. Even with cheese sauce in your hair.”

Last year Simon expressed his delight at being selected for the World Dwarf Games. “S** just got real,” he said on X at the time. “My kit has arrived for the World Dwarf Games in Cologne next month.
“Kinda cool becoming an athlete in your 50s. Although the best bit for me is meeting and hanging out with other short people from all over the world.”
