Delving into what happens when she suffers anxiety, she explained: “It’s scary. I keep thinking, ‘What is going on with my body? ‘ I’ve been in tears saying, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m panicking that I’m going to die’.”

Kerry has wondered if the change in her mental health could be due to hormones

“It’s really hard to explain to people how I feel, but Ryan has been brilliant. He’s always supportive. I like to deal with things on my own, so I often take myself away and just have moments to myself.”

It wasn’t just Ryan who the mum-of-five felt as though she was failing with proud mum Kerry believing she’d also let down her children.

She is mum to Molly, 22, and Lilly, 21, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, Heidi, 17, and Max, 15, with second hubby Mark Croft, and little DJ, who’s nearly 10, with her third husband George Kay.

Worried that her recent mental health changes could be hormonal she went on to say: “I might be perimenopausal. I’ve had some blood tests taken, so I’m waiting to find out if that’s what it could be. I’ve also been crying a lot, I’ve been sweating loads, my sleep pattern is changing and I need to wee more frequently.”
