In a surprising move, music icon Harry Styles has reportedly ended his romance with actress Taylor Russell, after just 14 months together. The 30 year old former One Direction member had been dating the ‘Bones And All’ actress, 29, since March 2023 before they decided to wrap up their passionate affair last month.
The duo even took a romantic jaunt to Japan in April, which was considered as a ‘make or break’ vacation for them to try and save their ailing relationship. The couple’s last public appearance together was on the Tokyo subway last month, with the pair only seen at solo outings ever since.
Intriguingly, at the Met Gala in New York earlier this month, Taylor showed up solo, without Harry accompanying her – a move which caused widespread concern among fans as the pair had previously been one of the most highly sought after couples due to grace the red carpet.

Speaking about their breakup, an informant shared with The Sun: “Harry and Taylor have ended their relationship. They went through a rough patch after their trip to Japan and are taking some time apart. He’s been in America and she’s been in London. They made a lovely couple and it was obvious Taylor made Harry happy. Things have become strained recently though and they’ve taken some time out.”
Speculation about cracks appearing in their romance sparked off earlier this month when Harry was conspicuously absent at the Met Gala, leaving Taylor to attend the annual fundraiser in a stunning gown, uniquely adorned with a wooden corset bodice, reports the Mirror.
The top portion of her dress, marking a high-neck design, featured red leafy details and an elegant white skirt emanated from her waist. Ensuring her natural attractiveness stole the show, the star chose a slicked-back hairstyle and minimalistic makeup.
She strutted down the red carpet solo, leaving fans puzzled since Harry’s no stranger to the glitzy bash he even co-chaired the 2019 Met Gala on his debut. The style icon’s absence has sparked worry among his followers who were itching for a peek at him post-his ‘Love on Tour’ gig hiatus.
“Harry Styles why aren’t you at the Met Gala tonight WHY,” one fan tweeted in desperation, craving a sighting of the star who’s been off the radar since his tour wrapped up last year.

Fans were crossing their fingers that the Met Gala would quench their thirst for a Styles sighting. Another lamented: “Why do I always hope to see Harry Styles at the MetGala? ? Every year is the same thing.”
Despite his single appearance, devotees are sure Harry would’ve nailed this year’s theme, ‘Garden of Time’. A fan gushed: “The Gala would have been no challenge for Harry Styles. He looks like a prince every time he dons a suit. All he needed was a tux with a flower and BOOM he’d slay.”
Rumours that Harry and Taylor were an item started swirling last March after they were spotted on what seemed to be a lovey-dovey walk. Then Taylor was seen cheering on Harry from the VIP section at his Love On Tour show in Vienna last July.

Harry made waves when he publicly backed his beau Taylor during her stint in ‘The Effect’ at London’s National Theatre. He was spotted at the afterparty, getting cosy with Taylor.
Since then, they’ve been seen around London on multiple occasions, even braving a Boxing Day swim together at Hampstead Heath ponds. Harry’s representatives have been contacted by Daily Star for comment on this story.
