Hunger Games actress Willow Shields has posted her own private nude selfie on Instagram.
Back in April 2023, the star – who is known for her role as Primrose Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise – bravely took matters into her own hands after she was “blackmailed” over naked pictures.
She wrote: “I’m being blackmailed and extorted for nude photos of myself, something private that was never meant to be shared with the whole world. I’m taking back the control and sharing it with you first. Here’s the photo they emailed and attached threatening to share with my friends, family and the internet. They claim to have many more “less tame” photos to use against me.”

The actress took a stance against these claims and continued: “I will not let somebody else make choices involving my own body, I will not allow someone to have power over me. I’ve already reported this person and case to the FBI and I sincerely hope they take the investigation seriously and follow through with this crime.”

Shields explained that she decided to share the picture because she “knows how many other people are affected daily by revenge porn” along with “nude leaks” by hackers and criminals. She said they are attempting to “break down body and mind” which are “both deeply vulnerable”.

Willow closed out by saying she “understands” and that she will “not stand for any slut shaming” as “this is her body” and she “will share it with whomever she chooses”. Many of her friends and fans gathered in the comment section to share their praise and support over Willow’s decision.
Disney star Bella Thorne wrote: “Right now! I worked with the FBI too on something very similar,” while someone else told Shields to “be proud” and that she looked “absolutely beautiful”.
More fans called her a “queen” while one person typed: “I’m sorry this happened to you. I was in the same situation and photos were sent to my kids and family.” Others called her “brave” and “powerful” while one supportive message read: “Why does the hacker think a picture can destroy a girl? [praising hands emoji].”
