From drug offences to drink-driving, several Love Island stars have found themselves in hot water after their stint in the villa.
A 29-year-old woman who starred on the Polish version of Love Island called Magdalena Sadlo recently admitted to transporting a class A drug between March 2022 and May 2023 at Carlisle Crown Court.
She was involved in a whopping £53million drug smuggling operation in the UK.
In what’s been dubbed one of the UK’s biggest ever drug busts, she was caught by police after jetting into Heathrow from Dubai as part of an investigation named Operation Matrix, according to MailOnline.
She’s currently being held in custody and is set to be sentenced later this year. Although Magdalena isn’t the only Love Island star to have a run-in with the law.
Let’s take a look at other cast members who’ve had legal troubles…
Earlier this year in March, it was revealed that Love Island celeb Jack Fincham dodged jail time and was slapped with a driving ban after confessing to speeding, driving with false plates, and under the influence of cocaine, reports OK!.
The reality TV personality received a 12-week suspended sentence, which was reduced from an initial 16 weeks due to his early guilty plea.
The driving offence occurred last August when he was caught driving on the hard shoulder during heavy traffic.
Jack was spotted by an undercover police car after they clocked him driving his flashy white BMW without due care. The Love Islander blew into the breathalyser and it came back all clear, although tested positive for cocaine after taking a drug test.
In court, the judge said it was “extremely lucky” Jack’s actions didn’t cause an accident. After his day in court, he had to do 250 hours of unpaid work and attend 10 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions.
The judge also slapped him with a driving ban for a whopping 67 months, taking into account the leftover 31 months from his last cock-up in October 2023.
Meanwhile, another Islander, Kaz Crossley, reportedly ended up spending time in jail while in Dubai last February as the city has a zero-tolerance approach to drug and alcohol offences.
Kaz reckons she started losing her hair at the time because of all the stress she had when she was held in custody for five days in the UAE.
The Love Island star was reportedly arrested at Abu Dhabi airport over a video of her sniffing powder in Dubai back in 2021.
Anna Vakili, says she also got arrested back in 2021 after she rang the police in fear of being kidnapped. The TV celeb claimed she ended up spending a night behind bars with her sister Mandi after the police cuffed them outside The Dorchester in London.
While they waited for the authorities, Anna and her sibling got into a heated argument who she claimed arrested them on suspicion of common assault when they arrived.
“Not long ago we ended up spending the night in jail,” Anna told The Sun. “We got arrested for fighting each other it wasn’t even a physical fight.”
She was gobsmacked, saying she “never thought in a million years” they’d end up behind bars.
Meanwhile, back in 2017, Love Island’s Chloe Crowhurst found herself in hot water after being pulled over by Sussex police and flunking a roadside breathalyser.
Chloe got cuffed there and then and was later slapped with charges. In an exclusive chat with OK!, Chloe’s rep at the time said: “Initially, I would like to apologise on behalf of Chloe for her error in judgement.
“Chloe is fully aware that her public profile comes hand in hand with responsibility and at this stage does not want to comment beyond offering her sincerest apologies to her family, friends, and supporters for any embarrassment she may have caused.”
In another twist, Zara Holland faced the music for reportedly trying to get out of Barbados with her beau Elliot Love after he tested positive for COVID-19 in January 2021.
It’s reported they were desperate to return to the UK to try and dodge quarantine at Paragon Military Base.
As reported by The Sun, Elliot was found to be positive for coronavirus and both were handed red wristbands to wear.
However, they allegedly decided to cut them off and tried to make a dash for the airport.
Episodes of Love Island are available to watch on ITVX.
