Oasis to follow Taylor Swift’s footsteps with eye-watering effect on UK economy

Oasis are set to generate a staggering amount of money for the UK.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, celebrity PR specialist Kayley Cornelius shared her professional opinion on how much the Gallgher brothers’ reunion will positively impact the British economy.

Speaking on behalf of Betfred, Cornelius said: “Taylor Swift’s eight nights at Wembley this summer, which allegedly brought in a staggering £1billion to the UK economy, have set a precedent for what we might expect from the Oasis reunion.

“With 17 UK and Ireland dates already announced and the possibility of more to come, there’s the potential for billions to be generated for the economy. With no international dates currently announced and the event not being televised, fans from across the globe are likely to flock to the UK in hopes of experiencing the tour firsthand.”

Noel and Liam have put the past behind them

Kayley explained that “the influx of international visitors will significantly boost tourism” as eager fans will “make their way to the four UK cities” where Oasis will be performing their long-anticipated reunion shows.

She continued: “Additionally, domestic tourism will reach an all-time high as people from across the country travel to see the band. With demand soaring, we can anticipate a surge in hotel and transport prices, including flights, trains, taxis, and buses.”

Oasis will be touring the UK with gig dates at Wembley

Along with travel and transport, the hospitality sector “is also set to benefit” hospitality in the UK as concert goers are expected to “flock to the local bars and restaurants” before and after Noel and Liam take to the stage.

Kayley explained: “Furthermore, retail sales are expected to surge as many fans look to embrace nostalgic fashion trends that capture the essence of Oasis culture.” Noel and Liam Gallagher have put their differences aside and recently announced that they will be reforming Oasis next year.
